When you have food allergies, there's not much working in your favor for your grocery budget. Not exactly new news, but just wanted to make sure everyone was aware of this magazine! Available by subscription, and also places like Whole Foods, Living Without is a magazine for people with allergies & sensitivities. I have bought a couple of copies, which were great, but definitely spends alot of time on wheat sensitivities. Check out their website too, which has lots of helpful information.
My hubs and son went to see "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" this weekend. Apparently, the main character had food allergies. When she brought it up in the movie, my son said out loud, "I'm allergic to nuts too!!!" My family loved the movie, and said that the allergy references were kept positive and accurate (as can be depicted in a cartoon kids movie). After trying many baking mixes free off most or all top food allergens, I have found The Cravings Place to have the best tasting products on the market! We especially like their Ooey Gooey Brownie Mix and their Muffin Mix. And, don't be thrown off by the gluten free if you don't have wheat allergy. It is all really amazing. These are must haves at our house! 
I just found an awesome new fast food at Trader Joe's. Perfect for lunchboxes, with absolutely Zero mess, Applesauce Crushers, and Apple Carrot Fruit Sauce Crushers are delicious! I tried these out on a group of 3 year olds. While my son loves the Apple Carrot Crusher, one of the other kids did detect a weird texture. The Apple Carrot Crushers are now a staple in our home! $2.99 for a pack of 4 from Trader Joe's. Made in a facility that processes wheat & fish.
