Peanut Flour Helps Allergies?

By now, most of you have heard about the ongoing research which is promising in the efforts to find a cure for food allergies. Studies are showing that introducing small amounts of an allergen (in a clinical setting) are helping to build resistance. The only down side of these studies seems to be that the dosage of peanuts has to be consistently administered & in the blood stream in order for there to be a tolerance. It also seems that peanut can never be consumed normally. It just prevents anaphylaxis. Children in this study can now safely consume 10 peanuts. Although it's still not a huge victory for those with food allergies, the results of the study are promising for the future.

  1. Hi, I stumbled across Ginger's blog and then Ginger told me about this one (great info, I LOVE it!). I just found out that my 8 month old son is allergic to milk, eggs, peanuts and wheat. I am on the "Brody" diet too since I am nursing. I am feeling my way through all of this new stuff. www.ourbrowntown.blogspot.com
